New tool creates convenient way to import SQL data into the XperiDesk PDES Dortmund, Germany – 20th June 2011 – Responding to customer requests, Process Relations has introduced the XperiDesk SQL client, the latest addition to its XperiDesk Process Development Execution System (PDES) software. Based on the successful Excel and File Loading clients, the SQL client provides a simple method for importing data from SQL Databases into the XperiDesk software suite, formalising the imported data and meshing it up with the existing data content within XperiDesk. The SQL client offers a convenient way to import, for example, work in progress tracking data from Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). This means that ALL important development data is now available in a central development knowledge repository. Like the Excel and File Loading clients the SQL client is completely configurable. Data can be imported selectively for projects, experiments, lots, etc. Additionally the data can be linked to the appropriate data points already contained in the system, manually added or previously imported from other sources (e.g. measurement results to the images). The new XperiDesk SQL client allows engineers to automatically document the full context of experiments. A wide variety of data, like experiment flow charts, lot information and test results can be easily configured for XperiDesk with the set of the three loading clients. The import of a SQL database data is possible in either manual or batch mode. An important additional benefit is that the new functionalities enables easy compliance with legal requirements for data storage by automating the process, while minimally interfering with the usual development activities. |
