There are no translations available. In this webinar Dirk Ortloff from Process Relations will elaborate on the challenges and solutions addressing the problem of effectively managing the growing amounts of digital process development data. He will introduce two clients for the XperiDesk system that address this “heap” challenge. Today more and more metrology capabilities imply more and more digital data being generated. Process engineers are flooded with partly structured but mostly unstructured data. To organize, manage and evaluate this data requires major efforts. Engineers spent a significant portion (20% – 35%) of their time just administering this data rather than evaluating it. Computer files are often distributed on several file servers or client computers or are hidden in some other place. Typically they are only sorted by a one dimensional criterion, the folder structure. Searching from another perspective is almost impossible. Furthermore, every engineer has his/her own way of storing information, which means that various office and freeware software is used to create documentation. Not having tools tailored to support process development activities and not managing the resulting data, information and knowledge appropriately slows down the development. Oftentimes experiments need to be repeated because of incomplete or inconclusive results causing further delays and expenditure. The webinar will take place on the 23th of March 5:30PM CET.
